What is the 'No noise' policy?
Along with many other parks in the area we operate a policy of having NO NOISE after 11pm in the evening.
Many of our visitors have travelled long distances to stay here and some parents with young children and people who sleep lightly can be disturbed easily by the slightest of noises. Therefore our LATEST ADMISSION is 9PM. The gates are locked at 11.00pm.
Wardens carry out spot checks on noise levels throughout the day and evening. Anyone found to making an unacceptable amount of noise after 11pm will be asked to leave the premises - without a refund! This policy applies without exceptions. Please respect this. Thank you .
Can we bring our dog?
For Caravans, Caravanettes, Motor Homes and Tents you may bring your dog as long as it is kept on the lead at all times & please remember to clean up afterwards! Note: No dogs or pets are allowed in our Static caravans. There is a 5 acre 'dog walk' on the park. (subject to availability)
What time do the Caravan Park gates close?
The site gates are closed from 11.00pm until 7.45am. For security reasons no vehicle admission to the park after 10.30pm if already booked in.
Are barbeques allowed on site?
Due to damage to the grass and fire regulations, we are sorry that disposable barbeques are not allowed on the site. A 'proper' barbeque that is on a purpose built frame with a minimum of 12 inches ground clearance is OK. Please respect this and ask us for advice if you are unsure if your barbeque is suitable. Thanks.
Is there a pub or restaurant nearby?
Yes. Ye Old Star Inn is both a pub and restaurant and situated just a short walk (just 300 yards) away.
Are there facilities for people with disabilities?
Yes. We have a specially designed toilet and shower facility, dedicated parking and we are happy to assist in any way possible.

What time must I vacate a static caravan?

What time must I vacate the site if I am in a tent/tourer/caravanette/motor home?

You will need this type of Mobile Mains Unit , with either a single/triple socket for your electrical equipment in your tent. The 13 amp sockets must be to IPP44, the distribution box must a transparent window, 10 amp double pole MCB, 25 amp RCD connected to 10 meters of cable to BS6500, 240V plug to ISO BS4343 you will also need a 25 metre extension cable to reach some pitches.
Please remember that all appliances that are plugged in must not consume more than a total of 10 amps in total, and must be specifically designed for use in a tent. (Normal household appliances must not be used).
All appliances have a wattage marked on them, ideally the maximum wattage should be no more than 850 to 950 watts. We reserve the right to decline any equipment that we deem to be unsuitable for use. (Without refund).
Can we have visitors whilst we are staying at the Star Caravan Park?
We are sorry but we are no longer able to accept visitors to the park. This is in the interests of safety and security and at the request of families who use the park.
What is the latest we can arrive to book in at night?
Last booking time is 9pm. This is to enable us to ensure our policy of 'all- quiet' after 11pm on the site. Sorry, no admission to the park after the gates are closed . (Last vehicle admission is 10.30pm).
What is the site policy on groups of tents?
It is our policy to refuse groups of more than 2 tents. We seperate all units away from each other by a distance of 20 feet ( 6 metres) to allow for sufficient space and tranquility and to conform with current fire regulations. Please understand this is a family run site for families and 'Mature-minded' couples who respect the rights of others. Multiple family groups (3 or 4) together, in our experience can cause as much disturbance as a group of singles if not behaving conciously and respectfully and therefore may not be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
Can we use our gazebo?
Due to fire regulations that have dictated space allocation, gazebos are no longer permissible.
